Airtech vapour background vent for improving ventilation to prevent condensation and black mould.

Non mechanical so no running costs involved. Allows the exit of up to 1 litre of water vapour moisture to pass through the vent every 24 hours.

Airtech background vent is a patented vent with a permeable membrane within the 100mm plastic rigid duct, encourages moisture migration because, normally, the outdoor temperature and vapour pressure are lower than indoors.

Draughts and external noise are restricted by the membrane, moisture control of bedrooms etc. is achieved without discomfort to the occupants.

This membrane acts as a molecular sieve, allowing water vapour to pass to the outside whilst resisting rapid air movement and, therefore, heat loss. Ideal locations for installation are in bedrooms and in particularly cold areas.

Comes with the Energysaver external cowl available in either White or Dark Brown.

Diameter: 102mm – Length: 350mm. Suitable for cavity walls and 9″ solid walls. Extension ducting available.

Requires a 107mm diamond core drill for installation.
