The channel collects ground water ingress and feeds it into a sump or pump chamber or if an open elevation is available by gravity feed to the outside.
The drainage channel is used to relieve hydrostatic water pressure in a basement and is installed behind a cavity membrane system.
Drainage Channel provides for efficient evacuation of water around the perimeter of the structure and when used with jetting eyes constitutes a fully maintainable system which complies with BS 8102.
Complete with a full range of Aqua Channel anciallary products for a complete installation.
This product may be delivered in Black or White colours.
Aqua Channel sits in a pre-formed drainage gully set within a floor slab at the wall/floor junction. This should be a minimum of 110mm deep by 100mm wide.
The dimension of the channel is 80mm wide by 50mm high. The upstand is 108mm high from the base of the channel.
A 20mm pea gravel can sit around the channel to assist with drainage.
If significant water ingress is anticipated the channel should be ‘screeded’ into position.
Internal and external corners are mitre cut with jointing tape placed over the top of connections.
The colour of channel made be supplied in Black, brown or grey subject to stock availability.
