DryFix Epoxy Screed HD
DryFix Epoxy Screed HD is a three part, solvent free epoxy resin, formulated to provide a thin resurfacing screed for concrete floors. This non-porous, slip resistant, easy to clean finish is ideal for areas that demand a tough hard wearing and decorative surface.
USES: Industrial floor topping screeds in dairies, bakeries, breweries, food preparation areas, engineering shops, chemical stores, kitchens, sports changing rooms and all other areas that demand a hygienic and durable permanent surface.
PREPARATION: Surfaces must be dry and free from grease, oil and other forms of contamination. Remove any loose materials and sweep clean. Cleaning is imperative. For large areas vacuum shot blasting is recommended. For small areas ensure the concrete is clean, sound and dry. For chemical cleaning use our CONCRETE CLEANER.
CONCRETE REPAIRS: Fill deep holes and badly worn concrete prior to priming with Patching Mortar or Epoxy Filler. Allow expansion joints to follow through the new floor.
CONCRETE TEMPERATURE: Ensure the concrete temperature to be resurfaced is constantly above 10°C during the application and throughout the hardening period.
PRIMING: The concrete must be primed with EPOXY SEALER the day prior to applying the Epoxy Screed HD. For small areas use TACK PRIMER immediately prior to laying. Working across the floor in strips you can lay on top of the Tack Primer while it is wet.
MIXING: Empty the contents of Pack “B” (Hardener) into Pack “A” (Resin) and mix thoroughly together by hand. Pour the mixed Resin/Hardener into the large bucket containing Pack “C” (Filler) and stir using either:- for large quantities use a “Forced Action Mixer” or for smaller quantities an electric drill and paddle attachment. Continue to mix until uniform in colour for at least 3 minutes.
APPLICATION: Pour the mixed material onto the primed floor. Apply immediately using a steel trowel to the required depth, normally between 3mm and 6mm. Occasionally clean the face of the trowel using CLEANING SOLVENT to release the build up of resin tack.
COVERAGE: 10 kg will cover 1m² at 5mm depth.
20 kg will cover 2m² at 5mm depth.
