Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods
Dryrod Damp-Proofing RodsĀ are a new high performance rising damp treatment. All that is required to permanently stop rising damp in your property is to drill holes along a continuous mortar course and then insert the damp-proofing rods. The rods will distribute water-repellent material along the mortar, using our patented delivery system, and then cure to form a damp-proof course. The wall will then dry out. No fuss, no mess and no stress.
The patented rod delivery system is not only faster, cleaner and easier than other forms of rising damp treatment, making it suitable for DIY damp proofing, it is also more effective. Unlike previous methods, which require measured application with specialist tools, a Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rod of the specified length will deliver the correct dosage every time. A wall treated with our damp-proofing rods is also over four times more resistant to rising damp than the next best treatment method.
Dryrod – the premium rising damp treatment.
Benefits:
- Consistent application due to controlled dosing of water repellent
- Simple application, just drill and insert rod (no specialist application equipment needed)
- Effective in both new (alkaline) and old (neutral) mortar.
- Can be applied in cold conditions
- Spillage and mess eliminated
Application:
Set an SDS drill to rotary hammer and select a 12 mm drill bit in excess of the required drill depth. When treating from the outside, a row of holes should be drilled into the mortar course 120 mm apart and approximately 150 mm above the ground. When treating from the inside, the holes should be drilled into the lowest accessible mortar course.
Depending on the thickness of the wall, mark the drill bit the following distances from the tip:
Wall Thickness | Depth of Drill Hole | Length of DryrodĀ® |
4Ā½” (115Ā mm) | 95Ā mm | 90Ā mm |
9″ (230Ā mm) | 210Ā mm | Ā 180Ā mm |

Christopher Leech (verified owner) –
I have never installed a chemical DPM previously, and as I only installed them last week the jury is still out on how effective they will be, but they were a real breeze to install, no mess, no fuss.

Great system, precise, no mess.
I had a DPC done on a previous property by Rentokill, they used this same system and as they give a 30year guarantee they must trust this product, which is good enough for me
