DryFix Remedial Helical Wall Tie Kit

Our DryFix Remedial Helical Wall Tie Kit contains the following products suitable for wall areas of between 200 – 230m2 allowing for doubling up density around window and door reveals. Tie density is normally calculated at 2.5 ties per m².

Drive Fix Remedial Wall Tie Kit offers the following options:

• 100 x DryFix Ties 8mm Ties
• 1 x Professional SDS Adaptor install Tool (optional)
• 2 x SDS Plus Carbide Tipped Drill Bits. 1 x 6mm x 160mm and a choice of either a 6mm x 310mm or 6mm x 450mm.

The installation process requires that a 6mm diameter pilot hole is drilled first into the brick to accept the Drive Tie which is hammered into the brick using the SDS Adaptor Tool provided with the kit.

Note: The diameter of the pilot hole is between 5.5mm – 6.5mm for 8mm Drive Ties but which is also determined by the nature of the host material.

Our Kit includes as standard a 6mm x 160mm SDS Plus drill bit with the optional choice of either a 6mm x 310mm or a 6mm x 450mm SDS Plus drill bit if you need to achieve an embedment depth of over 50mm for a 220mm long tie.

We recommend the shorter 6mm x 160mm drill bit is used to reduce ‘whip’ when using the longer drill bit.

This kit is great value for builders, damp proofers and wall tie contractors working on smaller jobs to an area of between 20 – 40m².
