Metal-Kote Waterproofing Coating for Metal Roofs

Metal-Kote is applied in a single coat to combat flaking, rusting and peeling metal and plastic coated roofs. Another huge benefit with Metal-Kote is that it can be applied directly to the surface with no priming, while still giving a 100% waterproofing formula with outstanding adhesion.

Metal-Kote has been developed within the same stable as the renowned market leading Acrypol + Waterproof Roof Coating, widely used by Contractors, Local Authorities, DoE and Industry throughout the last two decades.

Metal-Kote is exclusively formulated by Acrypol Products Ltd and combines simple application with outstanding product durability. Continuous research, improvement and development has produced a specialist coating that can be applied in a single coat over metal and plastic coated (Plastisol) metal roof varieties.

Metal-Kote is an environmentally friendly, oil based waterproof roof coating. It is specifically produced for the protective coating or re-coating of metal roofs, including those which may be suffering from the effects of corrosion. This particularly affects overlaps, in the case of plastic coated varieties (Plastisol), where the corrosion enters through the unprotected edges, causing widespread damage to the roofing panels.

It is a well-known fact that metal is one of the most difficult surfaces to coat and seal. Other coating systems are not waterproof, require total rust removal, primers, multiple coats and break down after a short life span.
Plastic coated varieties of metal roofing panels (Plastisol) are difficult to overcoat without the use of special primer/sealers. METAL-KOTE can be applied directly, in a single coat, over these surface types.
