Newton 803 Newtonite Cavity Mesh Membrane 3mm stud 2mtrs x 20mtrs M22 is a multi functional membrane damp proofing and basement waterproofing membrane with strong mesh welded to the face of a high quality high density polyethylene membrane used in re-plastering over a new chemical damp proof course, isolating soil retaining walls, basement and cellar waterproofing and insulating cold walls.
Newton 803 Newtonite is 0.5mm thick and has a pattern of raised 3mm studs. The studs face the wall and create air channels that allow for vapour equalisation to take place between the membrane and the wall.
Newton 803 Newtonite is light, clean and easy to handle. It can be cut with a sharp knife, scissors or shears. The membrane is inert and is highly resistant to water, alkalies, saline solutions and organic acids, and it is not affected by minerals. It is also resistant to bacteria, fungi and other small organisms.
Newton 803 Newtonite is guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years.

For best results and to minimise chance of cracking we recommend a dot and dab fix.
– Remove damp affected plaster to a height of 1mtr or at least 300mm above the highest level of recorded damp.
– Dress membrane to the wall and apply the fisrt plug fixing to the middle of the sheet and working out from the centre, apply plug fixings at 250mm centres.
– Where internal or external corners apply, cut the membrane on the corner and butt to butt joint the sheets of membrane using Fleece Tape. Apply a 6″ wide physical damp proof course behind the joints to prevent bridging.
– Apply dab grout to 50% of the plug fixings and fix plaster board. Leave board short of the floor by 20 – 25mm.
– Fix plaster board and skim over.
Do not speed up drying out of skim or render finish as this leads to cracking.
