Newton-Fibran XPS 500-C is a closed cell Insulation Board made from extruded Polystyrene.
This insulation board can be used to provide a 50mm spacer for Newton Basedrain and Floordrain drainage channel installations in conjunction with the Newton and other brands of cavity drain membrane installation feeding to either a sump and pump system of gravity drainage gully.
This is particularly ideal when John Newton Basedrain, Waterguard or Aqua Channel drainage system is to be installed on top of an existing slab. The Fibran board will keep the drainage channel in place.
Newton Fibran XPS500-C is 500kPa rated and has lots to the underside of the board to allow the free movement of ground water into the drainage channel.
To avoid floatation where this might be a concern, it is recommended that all boards are anchored to the floor slab using 90mm Cob Plug Fixings at a density of 5 per board.
Dimensions of each board: 50mm x 1000mm x 600mm (0.6m2)
