Sovereign Waterproofer

Sovereign Waterproofer improves the workability of sand/cement without the addition of lime. Sovereign Waterproofer prevents water separation over time and provides a lovely smooth mix. Particularly suitable for use when pebble dashing.

Sovereign Waterproofer gives excellent workability to both mortars and renders. Once cured the cement mix will have a much reduced porosity leading to an extended service life. When building up layers of render the addition of Sovereign Waterproofer will reduce the suction of the initial coat reducing the likelihood of the top coat cracking due to flash drying. This is particularly useful when pebble dashing as the surface remains
“wetter” for longer allowing more time for the aggregate to be placed. Waterproofer can be used with other admixtures, e.g. rapid hardeners, but they should always be added separately, not together. The dilution factors should be adjusted where necessary.

Waterproofer should be diluted with water 1:30 and added to the mix, until the right consistency is obtained. The easiest way to dilute waterproofer is to slowly add water to the waterproofer, and not the other way round.

If more than one admix is being used e.g. Waterproofer and Rapid Setter in the same mix then the dilution rate for each should be halved i.e. dilute the Waterproofer 1:15 then add quantities of each gauging solution separately, mixing for a couple of minutes between each addition, until the desired characteristics are achieved.

This is a fault free product. Only when added in excessive quantities do problems arise. In these circumstances a very aerated and crumbly mix is produced
