Brick Acid 5ltr
Brick Acid is an acid based cleaner formulated to remove unsightly stains caused by numerous every day occurrences, as well as builders splatter.
Please Note: Hydrochloric acid at 10% or greater has been upgraded to a regulated explosive precursor within The Control of Explosives Precursors and Poisons Regulations 2023. Bond It Brick Acid is 16%. Members of the public who want to import, acquire, possess or use these chemicals must hold an Explosives Precursors and Poisons (EPP) licence issued by the Home Office and an associated photographic identity document.
From 1 October 2023 businesses supplying regulated explosives precursors to professional users and other businesses (i.e., those who don’t need a licence) will need to take additional steps to verify the legitimacy of the professional user or business.
Uses:
For removing cement and mortar splashes, light oil stains and grease from brickwork, paving, tiles, earthenware and concrete. Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID should not interfere with the various types of concrete and stone (except limestone and marble) commonly encountered in the general building area. Efflorescence can also be removed by using this product diluted.
Application: Gloves, overalls, boots and goggles should be worn at all times during application. Protect metal surfaces and paint-work before application with polythene sheets and tape. Remove excess dirt, mortar, etc. with a stiff yard brush. If cleaning down brickwork saturate area with water to prevent damage to mortar. Before commencing a full clean down, test on an inconspicuous area with Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID diluted 4:1, water to cleaner. For normal use dilute between 2 and 4 parts water to 1 part cleaner. Apply using a brush and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes ensuring the area does not dry out and is scrubbed occasionally with a stiff yard brush. Rinse thoroughly with large amounts of water, do not add water to neat cleaner, always add the cleaner to the water. If stains persist, repeat the process and/or use the cleaner undiluted taking care to test the neat cleaner first on an inconspicuous area. For removing efflorescence use a 8:1 dilution water to cleaner. Always use a plastic container for diluting this product.
Limitations: Do not use Bond It HIGH STRENGTH BRICK ACID on limestone or marble as the chemicals will attack the surface. This product can also have an adverse effect on coloured concrete, test an inconspicuous area before use. HIGH STRENGTH BRICK CLEANER and its fumes will attack limestone, marble stainless steel and aluminium. If used internally extreme care should be used and thorough ventilation provided. Do not allow product to come into contact with metals such as steel, copper, aluminium and titanium. If used internally, extreme care must be taken and thorough ventilation provided as fumes can cause damage to sensitive surfaces.
