Britannia Aquashield High Build Waterproof Roof Coat
Britannia Aquashield High Build Waterproof Roof Coat is an acrylic, solvent based, cold applied liquid membrane with fibres added allowing the paint to span and fill small cracks and voids.
Britannia Aquashield instantly weatherproofs a wide range of exposed surfaces. It is water resistant and ideal for general maintenance and repair work. Where long-term waterproofing is required, Aquashield will provide an effective barrier until a full system or more permanent solution can be implemented.
Britannia Aquashield is not recommended for the treatment of wooden surfaces, tanking, fishponds or internal use.
Air conditioning vents should be sealed for a minimum of 24 hours during and after the application.
MINIMUM FINISHED FALL: when using this product it is important that a minimum finished fall of 1:80 is achieved, as stated in BS 6229.2003 (Code of Practice for the application of Liquid Applied Waterproofing Systems to flat roofs with continuously supported coverings).
This product is suitable for:
Bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, GRP
Fibreglass, felt and metal (galvanised and ferrous).
When applying to Fibrous cement corrugated sheeting: two coats of Aquashield Primer must always be applied to this substrate.
Not suitable for:
Walkways, Balconies, timber surfaces, new and aged PVC, plasticised PVC (Plastisol) or internal use.
High Build Coat: between 1 kg – 2 kg per square metre dependent on substrate.
Standard Coat: approximately 1 kg per square metre dependent on substrate
