Sovereign DrySure – Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier 5ltrs
Sovereign DrySure Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier is a ready for use specialist styrene butadiene latex based liquid applied membrane.
It offers a simple continuous passive system to the full footprint of new builds. Producing a damp proof membrane and basic gas/radon protection membrane complying with requirement C1 (2) and C2 (a) of the
Building Regulations 2000 for England and Wales.
Sovereign DrySure Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier can be used to protect most building surfaces from the effects of liquid and water vapour therefore suitable for providing a DPM on floors and in walls. Also forms a barrier to carbonation and ground gases.

To provide a damp proof membrane that also restricts the flow of ground gases such as radon, methane and carbon dioxide from naturally occurring underground sources into buildings, and from landfill.
When applying a finish over Sovereign Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier, best practice is to do so whilst the product is still slightly tacky. If this is not possible then apply plaster or levelling compounds within 24 hours. If the Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier is to be left for longer periods then it must be protected from wear. Whatever the final coat we recommend the use of Sovereign SBR Bonding Agent be used in the gauging water to improve adhesion.
The background surface should be smooth or have a tight even texture. Masonry should be flush pointed and defects in existing surfaces made good to provide a flat even surface. The surface must be clean, sound, free of dust, loose material and free of surface water. Masonry backgrounds to be lightly dampened immediately before application.
The minimum dried coating thickness of 1 mm is required. To achieve this coating thickness a total of 2 L/m² of Liquid DPM & Gas Barrier must be applied. The maximum coverage for this pack is 2.5 m² to
provide a radon tight membrane at 1.0 mm thickness.
