Sovereign Hey’di Barrier Mortar 25kg

Sovereign Hey’di Barrier Mortar is a hydrophobic, non-shrinking repair mortar. It is an integral part of the Sovereign Hey’di K11 Tanking System, used to create a fillet at wall/wall and wall/floor junctures.

Forms a water resistant mortar that does not shrink and has excellent adhesion to concrete and mortar. Can be used as a general repair mortar where shrinkage must be avoided. Sovereign Hey’di Barrier Mortar has a long pot life, typically 5 hours ensuring that wastage is kept to a minimum.

Preparation/Usage

Barrier Mortar should be applied to a damp substrate. When using with the K11 system apply a 25 mm fillet into all vertical and horizontal joints. It should be applied onto the first coat of Hey’di K11 before it has cured. This will typically be around 1 hour application of the Hey’di K11, and care should be taken not to damage the underlying coating.

Hey’di Barrier Mortar can also be used as a general repair compound for patch filling of masonry wall and floors.

General

When cured it has a compressive strength of >40N/mm2. Do not use in temperatures below 5ºC.

Drying Time

Allow the barrier mortar to stiffen for 2 – 3 hours and then apply the second coat of Hey’di K11 to the substrate and over the Hey’di Barrier Mortar.

As 25 mm fillet = 25 linear meters

As repair compound = 15 linear meters
