Epoxy Bund Paint

PREPARATION
Surfaces must be clean, sound and free from surface contamination.
Surfaces can be damp, although for more permanent installations we recommend that
the surface is as dry as possible. Large cracks must be repaired prior to applying BUND PAINT. Excellent repairs can be carried out using PATCHING MORTAR. Joints or cracks can be bridged by BUND PAINT using a 75mm wide Fibreglass Reinforcing Tape. BUND PAINT can be applied onto painted surfaces but all loose paint must be removed. Remove all loose metal rust by wire brushing. Severe heavily corroded metal should be treated with a suitable rust converter prior to painting with BUND PAINT.

MIXING
Empty the entire contents of Pack B (Hardener) into Pack A (Resin) and stir
thoroughly using an electric drill and mixing paddle on a slow speed. Once mixed use all within 45 minutes at 200C. The higher the ambient room temperature the shorter the useable life.

APPLICATION
Apply by brush, working well into the substrate. Apply evenly and as
generously as required to provide a continuous film of resin. One coat is normally
adequate to produce a watertight seal but a second coat maybe necessary particularly on porous or open blockwork or heavily textured or porous substrates.

FIBREGLASS REINFORCING TAPE
Prepare the surface as required. Mix and apply the BUND PAINT 100mm either side of the joints and cracks. While the surface remains wet and tacky, place the Fibreglass Reinforcing Tape onto the BUND PAINT and press to ensure the tape is well embedded. Tape can be pushed onto wet BUND PAINT and placed along right angles and corners of the structure. Alternatively, all joints, cracks, corners and angles can be treated first with the Fibreglass Reinforcing Tape and BUND PAINT and allowed to harden. A full top coat of BUND PAINT can then applied over the entire area as one continuous coating.
