Tanking Slurry

Tanking render is a name given to wet rendering systems for damp proofing above ground level and waterproofing below ground level such as cellars and basements. Tanking slurry’s and renders are powder based products that you simply add water to to form a creamy, cement type finish that is then either brushed or trowel applied but on large area can be spray applied.

Otherwise known as Cementitious tanking render this product type is tried and tested technology over many years and is known to do a good job of keeping damp and water ingress at bay. That said, we do advise that especially below ground level intended for habitable use that cavity membrane systems are considered as an alternative to tanking render.

There are many brands of Tanking slurry and render in the market place ranging from Vandex,  Hydrodry, Hey’di, Triton TT55 to name a few. We have access to a number of brands but stock Bond It & Wykamol tanking slurry. We are satisfied these brands are good quality and represent good value for money.
